Jaguar XK-E

The Jaguar E-Type was first shown in 1961 as the successor to the XK series. Thedesigner Malcolm Sayer gave the new sports car an extremely long bonnet that contrasted strongly with its steeply angled windscreen and small driver's compartment. At a comparatively favourable price, with a 6-cylinder engine capable of 265 bhp, the E-Type offered a breath-taking performance with a top speed of over 240 km/h.
